Hôtel Beau-Rivage Genève

This place isn’t just glamorous. It’s a keeper of secrets. In 1873, it became the first hotel in Geneva to install a hydraulic elevator, created by the same engineer responsible for the lifts in the Eiffel Tower. Imagine how stunning and futuristic that must have felt back then!

Then there’s the story of Empress Sisi, who loved Geneva’s charm and stayed here in 1898, under a disguise. Walking by the lake, she was tragically attacked and rushed back to the hotel, where she died in her suite. Today, the Suite Sissi Terrace holds her memory - fancy marble, classic furnishings, and a private terrace overlooking the lake. It’s not just a hotel. It’s a museum of innovation, tragedy, romance, and quiet glamour. Only at Beau‑Rivage could history, design, and soul live so beautifully together.
